Patch: They are simply the zip archive wich will be used to replace any existing AEPS Desktop Client Installation.
Installer: They are wizard based installer which may be used to install AEPS Client where AEPS client is being installed for the first time.
Steps for Patch Installation where the AEPS installation exists: AT the post offices where the Desktop client already exists, we need to install the patch.
Patch are simply the zip archive which will be used to replace any existing AEPS Desktop Client Installation.
1.Take the backup of the existing install directory using a WinZip or any other zip method.
2.Download the zipped patch files from the provided link above. For 32 bit system, download the 32 bit patch and for 64 bit system, download the 64 bit patch.
3.Extract the files. For this Right click on zipped file and select "Extract here". The files will be extracted in a directory.
4.Overwrite the content of the previous AEPS installed directory with the content of the zip file at the location/path where the AEPS based client is installed.
Note: The config.txt file should not be deleted and should be present at this location/directory.
For ex. If the Desktop client is installed at "D:/abc" folder copy the contents of the new patch there.
